MORE THAN HOCKEY: ENTERTAINMENT AROUND EVERY CORNER
The FIH Hockey World Cup in Wavre is about much more than world-class hockey. From live music and fan experiences to exclusive legendary player appearances and our very own daily talkshow, there will be something happening both on and off the pitch every day of the tournament.
Opening Ceremony & Afterparty with Henri PFR
The festivities begin on 15 August with a vibrant opening ceremony ahead of Belgium vs France. Local dance performers, a light show and an electric atmosphere will set the tone for an unforgettable tournament.
And the celebration doesn’t stop at the final whistle: Belgian DJ and producer Henri PFR will host the official afterparty in the Public Plaza, turning the opening day into a night to remember.

Want to meet some of Belgium’s hockey icons? Head to the Public Plaza for our daily signing sessions. Every day, a different Belgian hockey legend will stop by to meet fans, sign autographs and pose for photos.
The Daily Corner
Stay up to date with the stories behind the tournament in The Daily Corner, our in house HWC talkshow. Featuring renowned national and international guests, match analysis, exclusive insights and previews of the action ahead, it’s the perfect way to get into the hockey mood before every Red Panthers and Red Lions game.
The party continues
Henri PFR may kick things off, but he won’t be the only one bringing the energy. On 21 and 22 August, local DJs will keep the World Cup spirit alive in the Public Plaza with good vibes and plenty of reasons to stay a little longer after the matches.
